Some data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. A revocation of your already given consent is possible at any time. An informal communication by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as site operator, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” address line of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser line.

Server log files

In server log files, the provider of the website automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

There is no merging of this data with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Google Analytics

Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analytics service is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses “cookies.” These are small text files that your web browser stores on your terminal device and enable an analysis of website usage. Information generated by means of cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The server is usually located in the USA.

The setting of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize our website and, if necessary, advertising.

Matomo Analytics

Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Matomo Analytics. The provider of the web analytics service is Matomo, 7 Waterloo Quay, Pipitea, Wellington, New Zealand.

Matomo Analytics uses “cookies.” These are small text files that your web browser stores on your terminal device and enable an analysis of website usage. Information generated by means of cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Matomo server and stored there. The server is located in the European Union.

The setting of Matomo Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize our website and, if necessary, advertising.

IP anonymization

We use Google and Matomo Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymization function.

It ensures that Google shortens your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. There may be exceptional cases in which Google transfers the full IP address to a server in the USA and shortens it there. On our behalf, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

For Matomo, it is also guaranteed that the IP address is shortened before transmission to the server within the EU.

Objection to data collection

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google and Matomo Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that will prevent the collection of your data during future visits to our website: Disable Google and Matomo Analytics.

For details on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/.

Browser Plugin

The setting of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. However, some functions of our website may be restricted as a result. Likewise, you can prevent the collection of data relating to your website usage, including your IP address, together with subsequent processing by Google. This is possible by downloading and installing the browser plugin accessible via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hlde.

Order processing

In order to fully comply with the legal data protection requirements, we have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics

Our website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. It can be used to create reports that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. It is not possible to assign the data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. This is possible via the ad settings in your Google account or by generally prohibiting the collection of your data by Google Analytics, as explained in the item “Objection to data collection”.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

Our website uses Google AdWords. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States.

AdWords is an online advertising program. As part of the online advertising program, we work with conversion tracking. After a click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your terminal device. Google AdWords cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. From the cookie, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on an ad and were redirected to our website.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies are not traceable through websites of AdWords customers. Conversion cookies are used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn how many users clicked on their ad and were redirected to pages with conversion tracking tag. However, AdWords customers do not receive any information that allows personal identification of users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can object to its use. In this case, the conversion cookie must be deactivated in the user settings of the browser. In this way, there will also be no inclusion in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. As the website operator, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize our website and our advertising.

Details on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict or disable the setting of cookies. Disabling cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

Newsletter

We offer a monthly newsletter to inform you about current developments. We only send our newsletter with your express consent.

To subscribe to our newsletter, it is necessary to provide your e-mail address; the other voluntary information (first name, last name, company) is used to personalize the newsletter. By completing the registration, you give your consent to receive the newsletter, which can be revoked at any time.

We use the so-called double-opt-in procedure for newsletter registration. This means that after you have provided your e-mail address, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm this, your registration will be automatically deleted after a maximum of six months. If you confirm receipt of the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe. The storage serves the sole purpose of being able to send you the newsletter. Furthermore, we store your IP addresses and the time of sending the first e-mail each time you register and confirm, in order to prevent misuse of your personal data. You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time either via the unsubscribe link provided in the e-mail or directly by e-mail to hello@factorial.io with the subject “SendinBlue unsubscribe”.

Newsletter communication with SendinBlue

We use the software of the provider SendinBlue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, a subsidiary of the French parent company SendinBlue SAS, 55 rue d’Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France, for our newsletter and address management. SendinBlue is a service used to organize and analyze newsletter delivery. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g. e-mail address, first name, last name, company) are stored on SendinBlue’s servers.

Our newsletters sent with SendinBlue allow us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, we can analyze how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. In addition, we can see whether certain previously defined actions were performed after opening/clicking (conversion rate). All links in the email are so-called tracking links, with which the clicked clicks can be counted.

We have concluded a corresponding contract for order processing with SendinBlue, in which we oblige SendinBlue to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties. Your e-mail address will be used exclusively by us and will not be passed on to other third parties.

If you do not want SendinBlue to analyze your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an e-mail to the above-mentioned e-mail address and arrange for your data to be deleted. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of SendinBlue after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. For more details, please refer to the privacy policy of SendinBlue at: en.sendinblue.com/legal/privacypolicy/.

Right to cancel at any time

You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. For this purpose, you will find a link at the end of each newsletter sent by us, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the prime rates.

The legal basis of the processing for the newsletter dispatch is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO.

We use Heap Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Heap Inc, 116 Natoma St, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA (“Heap Analytics”), to analyze user behavior on our website, including, for example, which content is clicked on or which browser is used. Heap Analytics uses cookies to enable this analysis. In addition, the cookies are stored on the terminal device you use when you access the page. The anonymized information about user behavior generated by the cookies is transmitted to a Heap Analytics server in the USA and stored there. The analysis of the data is based exclusively on anonymized IP addresses, which are not merged with other data from Heap Analytics.

By using this website, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described herein. If you do not agree to the terms set forth herein, please do not use this website. For a full explanation of how Heap Analytics works, please visit the official website at www.Heap.io/privacy.

Leadinfo Analytics

We use the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which recognizes visits of companies to our website based on IP-addresses and shows us related publicly available information, such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies for providing transparency on how our visitors use our website and the tool processes domains from provided form inputs (e.g. “Transform anonymous website visitors into customers – Leadinfo ”) to correlate IP addresses with companies and to enhance its services. For additional information, please visit Transform anonymous website visitors into customers – Leadinfo . On this page: Opt-out – Leadinfo you have an opt-out option. In the event of an opt-out, your data will no longer be used by Leadinfo.

Embedded Youtube Videos

We embed YouTube videos into some of our web pages. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter “YouTube”).

When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This allows YouTube to see which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. If a YouTube video is played, the provider uses cookies to gather information on user behaviour.

You can find further information regarding the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube in the provider’s privacy policies. These also include further information regarding your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

The display and data collection by Youtube is restricted to your given consent. A given consent provides legal basis for the integration of YouTube and includes the associated transfer of data to Google as Youtube is a product of Google. (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). A connection to Google is automatically established when YouTube is accessed.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to deal with these types of cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you need to block the storing of cookies in your browser. You can find further information about data protection on “YouTube” in the provider’s privacy policy, available at Datenschutzerklärung – Datenschutzerklärung & Nutzungsbedingungen – Google
